Elkhorn Fern - Platycerium bifurcatum

This fern of strange fronds, shaped as deer horns, prosper exceptionally well in shade.

Height

Leaves can achieve the length of 80 cm.
Transplanting

In spring, every 2-3 years, using a substrate rich in peat or an orchid substrate.
Care

Position in partial to full shade. Optimum temperature is 20-22°C, minimum winter temperature 15°C. Water the plant regularly by sinking the whole pot with the plant in the water. Feed with mild fertilizer, once in a month, during the active growth season.
