Vriesea splendens, the most famous and the most favourite representative of the Vriesea species, evolves and grows on other plants in its native country of Brazil.

CarePlenty of light, but avoid the strong summer sun. Optimum temperature is 20-22°C, minimum winter temperature 18°C. Moderate watering, the funnel in the middle of leaf rosette should be filled with water. Ensure that the relative air humidity is high. Feed every two weeks during the active growth season.
