A deciduous shrub or a small tree which grows up to 10 meters in height. Blooms in may and june with yellow-green flowers. Fruits are green turning brown when ripening in september and october. Resistant to low temperatures and not needy in terms of soil quality. The fruits are sweet in taste and great as a snack raw, dried or cooked into marmalades.
