A deciduous woody fast growing climbing vine. Produces most fruits in sunny positions, but be aware it grows rapidly and can spread fast if not pruned once or twice a year once it establishes. Blooms in may and june. Fruits are elongated and covered with a thin fuzzy skin. Inside is the green or yellow flesh with many tiny black seeds. They ripen in autumn and winter and are ready to eat when soft under finger pressure.
