A deciduous tree which can grow up to 20 meters in height forming a dense, symmetrical canopy. Blooms in april and may with white flowers. Fruits are yellow-red in color and visually similar to small round pears. They ripen in september and october, edible only when soft to touch. Resistant to drought and low temperatures. A slow grower, but has a life span up to 500 years and is quite decorative and tolerant overall.
